A superb sake bottle for a special occasion

An “Oazuke tokkuri” is a large sake flask that holds ni (two) go (approximately 360ml) or more, which is left at the seat after the host has offered sake to the guests during a kaiseki meal at a tea ceremony, allowing the guests to enjoy the sake freely among themselves.

The firing and the shaping are truly wonderful.
It’s not just a monotonous black; it has a variety of shades—matte, dry, and glossy—making it resemble a old tea kettle.
The photos were taken in bright natural light, so the gloss is quite noticeable, but in reality, under room lighting (not fluorescent), it has a deep, muted black hue, giving it a very calm and sophisticated appearance. The view and colors from the back are particularly stunning.
It’s a large sake bottle, but its shape and texture feel so natural in your hand, almost as if it’s clinging to it.
This is a piece I would personally like to purchase. That’s because I would like to use it to pour drinks when I have dinner with several clients.
The base is slightly unstable, but you’ll be so captivated by the charm of this piece that you won’t mind.
It should hold about 600ml.
The paulownia wood box is already prepared.
