Inscription Kaizai
This is a traditional Buddhist ritual in which monks visit the homes of parishioners and followers, chanting sutras and performing ancestral rites in each household. It has significance because it means that the Buddha himself comes to each home.

Daiki TACHIBANA (1899-2005)
Daitoku-ji monk, Tea master, Calligrapher.
The 511th head priest of Daitoku-ji Temple. He served two terms as the chief administrator of the Daitoku-ji sect, and later became its supreme advisor. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 105.
He was well versed in the tea ceremony and was also known as a tea master and calligrapher. He also interacted with many political and business leaders, including former Prime Minister Ikeda Hayato, former Prime Minister Fukuda Takeo, and Matsushita Konosuke (Founder of Panasonic Holdings Corporation). He was called “the advisor to the political world” because he gave advice based on the teachings of Zen Buddhism.
