Madara Karatsu Chawan | Kaoru KIMATA
Thirty years have passed since Kimata san became independent.
Taking the opportunity of a solo exhibition in Osaka, She has been actively creating pottery.
In particular, Kimata san is concentrating on chawan.
All of these are Madara Karatsu types.
There are many variations, and the range of expression has expanded.
We would like to introduce 7 new works.

Kofukuwan | Masayuki Higuchi
Kofukuwan is a wan that is one size smaller than a chawan.
About 20 years ago, he taught me the joy of using these vessels.
It is a versatile bowl that can accommodate anything from matcha to coffee, other beverages, and food.
How you use this vessel is up to you. Although it doesn’t have a handle, I drink coffee in it every day.
Once you get used to it, you won’t feel any discomfort and it will become your favorite vessel.
By holding the vessel directly, a large amount of information can be transmitted through the hands.
This is an important element in appreciating vessels.
Please have fun using it in various ways.
